CHOOSE WITH CONFIDENCE

Flex, curves and sizing

Choose your flex

50 and 55 flex load more easily. 65 offers a firmer intermediate feel, while 70 and 75 flex suit players wanting a stiffer senior shaft.

Choose your curve

P92 is versatile, P28 supports quick toe releases and lifted shots, and P88 offers a traditional controlled shape.

Choose your length

A stick usually reaches around your nose without skates or your chin with skates. Remember that cutting it shorter makes it feel stiffer.

Common hockey stick questions

What hockey stick flex should I choose?

Your ideal flex depends on your weight, strength and shooting style. Lower flexes such as 50 and 55 are easier to load, while 65, 70 and 75 feel progressively stiffer. Cutting a stick shorter also makes it play stiffer.

What is the difference between P28, P88 and P92 curves?

P92 is a versatile all-round curve, P28 has a more open toe for quick releases and lifted shots, and P88 has a traditional mid curve for controlled passing and shooting.

Should I choose a Senior or Intermediate stick?

Senior sticks are generally longer and stiffer. Intermediate sticks are shorter and available in lower flexes. Use your height, strength and preferred flex rather than age alone.

What does low kick mean?

A low-kick stick flexes lower on the shaft, helping the puck release quickly on wrist shots and snap shots.

Are Junior and Youth VANTA sticks available?

Not yet. Junior sticks are currently unavailable but new stock is arriving soon. Youth sticks are also currently unavailable. Check the linked product pages or contact MAC Hockey for updates.
